What does MERAKI mean?
meraki [may-rah-kee] (adjective)
This is a word that modern Greeks often use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love -- when you put "something of yourself" into what you're doing, whatever it may be.
What does KAIZEN mean?
kaizen [ kahy-zen ] noun 改善
Kaizen is often translated to mean continuous improvement.
However, the first symbol “Kai” is made up of two sub-symbols representing “self” and “whip”. So “Kai” actually means “Self whip.” This refers to the discipline we need to have in order to change who we are. It’s about starting with ourselves to make change.
And “Zen” is often translated to mean “good,” but the symbols actually represent the meaning of “Sacrifice.”
So the real meaning of kaizen is about having the discipline to ‘whip’ ourselves – to change ourselves – in sacrifice for the greater good.

I started Meraki Kaizen Medspa as an idea that a medspa could be something different. It could be more. It is based on the idea that we can instill a piece of ourselves in the passion of what we do along with the goal of constantly improving. Not only ourselves, our techniques, our outcomes, but also the industry as a whole.

He’s the only resident in the history of the University of Rochester to run his own medical practice while still in training—because why wait when you’re ahead of the curve?
From Air Force Honor Grad to Aesthetic Trailblazer
His journey started at the United States Air Force Academy, where he was a Distinguished Honor Graduate (yes, he’s that disciplined). After earning his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, he completed his residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center, all while building an aesthetic empire in the making.

Dr. Tracy is more than just a skilled injector—he’s an industry leader and educator who’s trained hundreds of injectors nationwide. As a national trainer for Allergan Medical Institute and a featured speaker at major aesthetic conferences worldwide, he’s been shaping the future of the med spa industry one technique at a time.
